Beginning in September 2026, as part of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), Grade 10 students are required to complete a Financial Literacy Graduation Requirement within their course credit of their compulsory Grade 10 Career Studies course.
This Financial Literacy Graduation Requirement evaluates students' understanding of key financial literacy concepts such as budgeting, interest rates, earning & saving, taxes, credit & debt, consumer awareness, and financial fraud. The Financial Literacy Graduation Requirement aims to equip students with essential skills for managing money and making informed financial decisions for both their present and future.
